Have you ever had this heavy feeling that people are looking at you?
Like... you just want to do your own thing but you're SO self-conscious that you just can't.
I had this feeling for soooo long.
Did I overcome it?
I would say yes. Partly, at least.
I still feel judged at times, but now I know how to talk myself out of it.
Reader, the fear of being judged is so deeply anchored inside that you can't simply snap ya fingers and get rid of it. blah.
For me, overcoming it started with understanding where it came from.
I went to therapy and read maaany books to finally stop giving a F what people think of me. Now I'm letting people believe I'm whatever they assume I am.
SO, I made a list of resources to help you to understand this freaking fear that keeps you from fully embracing who you are.
Hope this will be helpful!

P.S. Did you get the Lil' Jon reference or am I too old?

Oh and I also used to believe that putting myself first was selfish. I cannot count how many times I’ve said yes or agreed to do things I didn’t want...
Hey Reader, Let's say someone asks you to do something that you really don't want to do... How do you react? Do you: A. Look at them straight in the eye and say no B. Look away and make up an BS excuse to explain why you "can't" or C. Get awkward, say yes and regret instantly. If you chose anything but A, you're gonna want to hear what I have to say next. Saying no can get really uncomfortable. We feel guilty for putting ourselves first. As if we were doing something really selfish. Well the...
